Formation

GSB Association , Borivli was formed on
13 th May 1994 by 14 like minded members led by Shri P Nagesh Hari Kamath,  Shri  B V Kamath,  Shri Ashok Shenoy, Shri Ravindra Shenoy and others as a social and cultural organization to encourage its members scattered over the vast area, falling within the jurisdiction of Mumbai and Thane especially Borivali and nearby areas to carry on welfare, cultural and social activities and encourage and motivate the community at large.

Social, Cultural & Religious Activities 

• Over a period of time, the Association has been conducting various social activities like arranging 
• Medical camps, 
• Free distribution of spectacles to senior citizens, 
• Providing free notebooks to poor students,
• Providing funeral assistance etc. 

Celebrations of various festivals like 

• Kartik Utsav, 
• Krishna Ashtami,
• Ganeshotsav, 
• Sankranth, 
• Sutta punnav etc are also being carried all these years.
  Every Saturday evening weekly Shaswat Bhajan is carried at our office.

For last 28 years ,the 5 day Ganeshotsav is being celebrated every year with much fanfare and thousands of devotees attend these functions. Various cultural activities and competition s are held during these period. We felicitate members children who Excel in studies from various stream. It is our endeavour to motivate extraordinary talents and during recent times we have felicitated world renowned Artist Shri Vasudev Kamath , Dr Shraddha Prabhu (for her dedicated work during Corona period) and will continue this initiative.

The Association now has its own office at
5 , Meghana building, Ram Nagar, Borivali(West).
The Association ,places on record it’s appreciation and thank all donors to the building fund over the years .
The said Premises is now under redevelopment and we have now temporarily shifted our office temporarily at
C2, Flat no 2, Cee Jee JeeBee CHS at Saibaba nagar , opposite the Gurudwara , Borivli (West).
